Celebrate Dia de los Muertos with a Masquerade Ball

CORPUS CHRISTI, TX – Experience a colorful, cultural celebration this weekend inspired by a Mexican tradition. La Retama Central Library invites you to dance the night away at its “Love Never Dies: Dia de los Muertos Masquerade Ball.”

Families are encouraged to wear costumes and enjoy an evening of music by DJ EZ. Attendees will also enjoy crafts, treats, and refreshments. The free event takes place Saturday, October 19, from 7 p.m. to 10 p.m. at 805 Comanche Street.

Traditionally, Dia de los Muertos, or Day of the Dead, is celebrated to honor and remember loved ones who have passed. The tradition, which originated in Mexico, is celebrated in Latin American countries on All Saints and All Souls Day.
